Spicy Cauliflower Wings
This has been my go to recipe these days- it is super easy and satisfying on all levels!! I love having a little dipping sauce on the side. I love my cashew cream recipe with some ground pepper, a little onion powder, apple cider vinegar, diced chives and dill added in- or any ranch sauce of your choice can work.
Ingredients:
Servings 2-4
1 Head of Cauliflower- stalk removed and cut into chunks
3/4 cup of all purpose gluten free flour or flour of choice
1 cup of water
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
salt to taste
pepper to taste
Sauce Ingredients:
1 1/2 Tbsp of melted vegan butter
3/4 cup of hot sauce of choice- something watery like franks red hot
1) Preheat oven to 450F
2) Mix batter ingredients together in a bowl, flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
3) Coat the cauliflower wings in the batter and let the excess batter drip off. Place each one on a parchment paper lined pan.
4) Bake at 450F for 15 min and then flip to the other side and for 10 more minutes
5) Mix vegan butter and hot sauce together to make the sauce.
6) After 25 minutes of baking, pull out the cauli wings and place them in the bowl with sauce and toss them so that they are all evenly coated.
7) Bake for another 15-20 minutes to get them nice and crispy.
I made a ranch dip on the side- you can serve with any dipping sauce of choice or enjoy as is! I hope you love this recipe and if you love it as much as I do it is about to become a staple!
